We currently offer pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, 1st, 2nd , 3rd,  4th grade and 5th–grades. Each classroom has a lead teacher and an associate teacher. We’re seeking teachers with the following qualifications:

    Lead teachers:

    • State certification
    • Master’s Degree, or higher, in Education
    • Montessori training and/or Certification or a willingness to pursue Montessori training
    • At least three years of successful teaching experience
    • Spanish speaking would be an advantage
    • We are especially interested in teachers with Special Education and/or ELL certification

    Associate teachers:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Master’s Degree close to completion and a willingness to pursue Montessori training OR
    • Montessori training and/or certification and a willingness to pursue Masters degree and state certification
    • Spanish speaking would be an advantage
    • Some experience preferred

The salaries we offer are highly competitive with those of the NYC Department of Education and of other charter schools, and are based on experience and qualifications. All teachers receive a comprehensive benefits package.

If you’re interested in joining our Montessori family, please send us your resumé and a cover letter explaining how your personal aims and educational philosophy could contribute to the school. Send them to: info@nycmcs.org, or call us at 347-226-9094 for more information.
