  • Learning Skills

The skills that Montessori students develop and hone are life skills. They involve the values that Montessori holds dear, together with grasping and respecting the importance of independence, motivation, creativity, critical thinking, and social skills necessary to be confident, happy and successful. Our intent is to instill all of these great gifts by first establishing a true love of learning.

The success of Montessori is highly dependent on specially trained, dedicated teachers. Every teacher working in a Montessori school receives intense training in addition to their traditional teacher training through Masters programs. It also requires ongoing professional development, and a “team” teaching approach in the preparation of materials, activities, and individual learning plans for the children.
